Payroll/HRIS Specialist

Job Description:

We currently have an opening for an exceptional Payroll/HRIS Specialist to manage payroll and reporting and provide related payroll administration support in the Human Resources department.

The successful candidate will work in a dynamic, team oriented culture where individual contributions make a difference!

Primary responsibilities include:
  • Prepare, process and distribute biweekly payroll for 300-400 exempt and non-exempt employees over multi-site US locations, as well as prepare and process monthly payroll in the UK and France, accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Enter all payroll data into payroll system and ensure all appropriate codes are established, maintained and transmitted on a timely basis.
  • Provide backup support for time and attendance input and processing for hourly employees.
  • Prepare/process garnishment/levies including their calculation and administration, manual checks, commission runs, T&E run, overtime, and any exceptional payroll, etc.
  • Process 401(k) terminations, loans and withdrawals.
  • Handle HR administration including employment verifications, disability claims verifications, DOL wage audits, housing authority verifications.
  • Provide a variety of HRIS support in producing reports utilizing a variety of reporting tools including ReportSmith and Excel.
  • Respond to employee pay questions; resolve issues.
  • Reconcile benefits invoices from third party administrator.
  • Assist/respond to employee benefits questions.
  • Handle special projects as required by the VP Human Resources
Required background and qualifications include:
  • Minimum 4 years payroll processing experience required; additional experience in processing European payroll highly preferred
  • Proficiency in using ADP PC/Payroll/E-Time or EZ Labor Manager/ReportSmith required
  • Knowledge of payroll law and practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and Word required.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent aptitude for working with numbers and strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; must be able to interact effectively at all levels of the Company and handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
  • Strong organizational skills; must be able to manage multiple priorities and unexpected situations and work independently
  • Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree preferred.
